Series E4-21 System E4-1

1. Straight run through inner-/outer-link design
2. Low-noise operation through integrated brake in the radial stop dog system
3. The tongue and groove design provides greater lateral stability
4. 15% more tensile strength (compared to the older E4 series), better unsupported length through improved stop dog system and vertical radial stops
5. Crossbars are removable along both radii
6. Wide, rounded plastic crossbars - cable friendly
7. Optimized glide pads - long sevice life
8. Smooth outline, dirt repellent
9. Interior separation with standard locking separator
10. Strain relief with strain relief separators in the mounting bracket are available
11. Mounting brackets pivoting on one side with all-round attachment option
12. Energy Chains® also available with reverse bending radius "RBR"

Inner widths Bi: 1.18 to 5.51 (30 - 140 mm)
Bending radii R: 1.5 to 7.87 (38 - 200 mm)
Pitch: 1.2 (30.5 mm) per link = 11 links/ft (33/m)

Series E4.21 is suitable for the following types of applications:

Vertical: Hanging applications ≤ 40m, standing applications ≤ 3m
Horizontal: Unsupported applications ≤ 2.5m, gliding applications ≤ 120m
Circular movement: Rotating applications possible, may require machining (machining rework is always required from rotation angles of 180°)

When an economic one-sided snap-open Energy Chain/tube is required

Option 1: Separators

Energy Chains® and can be subdivided both vertically and horizontally using the various interior separation elements.

Vertical separatior T2102
This component is used when vertical and horizontal separation is required. Due to the slotted design it allows vertical/horizontal shelving arrangements

Notched vertical separator T2101
This component can be locked in 2mm increments due to spaces in the crossbar preventing the separator from sliding sideways

Strain relief separator T2103-Z
This separator can be integrated into the mounting bracket and can be placed at any point. It combines strain relief and interior separation.

Aluminum "Super Trough"- the igus® standard

The Aluminum "SuperTrough" is a modular guide trough system for long travels (when E-Chains® glide on themselves, as per sketch). Aluminum "SuperTrough" is available in low cost "basic versions" and can be upgraded for heavy duty applications. This universal usage makes it the igus® recommended new standard trough system.
