Series 09 ESD - Chain, zip-open along the outer radius

zipper ESD e-chains® deliver in terms of practicality and performance. The "zipper" function makes them a very useful product to reduce assembly time. The small pitch, the robust elastic zipper band, and the sturdy links work well in high acceleration environments. The zipper Series is one of the most popular igus® e-chain® series in demanding industrial sectors.

* The required clearance height is HF = H + .59 in. (15 mm) (with .20 lbs/ft (0.3 kg/m) fill weight), this should be taken into account for all application types. Please contact us if you have particularly narrow space conditions.

Unsupported length

Unsupported length versus fill weight

FLB = Unsupported with permissible sag
FLG = Unsupported with straight upper run

The diagrams for unsupported lengths apply to standard e-chains® in igumid GLW material. The values can also be used for assessing e-chain® applications in ESD special material. If the respective maximum unsupported length exceeds 80%, the suitability of the e-chain® should be verified by a practice-oriented test.
