Series 2500 ESD – chain, snap-open along outer radius

The E2/000 ESD series is igus® fourth generation in this size. All field experience has been incorporated into this series: easy and versatile assembly combined with ruggedness - high strength in combination with low-noise operation, long service life for cables and a broad range of mounting options. The design is consistent within all E2/000 models. It is the standard product trusted by machine builders around the world.

The diagrams for unsupported lengths apply to standard e-chains® in igumid GLW material. The values can also be used for assessing e-chain® applications in ESD special material. If the respective maximum unsupported length exceeds 80%, the suitability of the e-chain® should be verified by a practice-oriented test.

"Super-aluminium" trough - the igus® standard for guide troughs

The "Super" aluminium trough is a modular system of guide troughs for long travels (where e-chains® are gliding on top of themselves). The basic "Super" aluminium trough has a simple and cost-efficient designs and can be expanded for sophisticated plant engineering. Its universal design makes it the recommended igus® standard for guide troughs.

Guide troughs are used for applications, for which the upper run of the e-chain® glides on the lower run. The following components are required when using the steel igus® guide trough. Guide trough without glide bar Part No. 92.30, guide trough with glide bar Part No. 92.31 Installation set Part No. 92.50. XX
.XX indicates the length of the C-profile on which the guide trough will be mounted. The standard length of the trough parts and glide rails is 2 m. The required length of guide trough is determined by the travel length.
