Drilling technology

This sequence automat has been developed for drilling and sawing of aluminium profiles. The work processes are performed fully automatically. A gripper picks the aluminium profiles from a magazine and delivers them to the saw for a first cut. A feed motor pushes them subsequently to the limit stop, which has been previously adjusted to the desired length. Drilling produces many chips, which strongly soil conventional bearings. The results are frequent maintenance and downtimes of the device. The effective solution: Pillow block bearings from igus® - they are cheap, lubrication- and maintenance-free.
